Umuahia - Tuesday 20 February, students of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, took to the streets to protest the lock down of the school administration block earlier in the day by agents of the Abia State Board of Internal Revenue.
Aggrieved that the lock down will affect the matriculation ( scheduled on Friday 23rd February ) and the examination time table, they blocked the gate of the institution until further assurance by the Vice Chancellor of the school, Prof. Francis O. Otunta.
The V.C proposed to meet with the students tomorrow, 21 February to discuss and sort out their grievances.
